Project Spotlight: Innovative Split LV Distribution Board with Integrated PV & Monitoring

Our latest project demonstrates this commitment — a specially designed split LV distribution board that integrates warehouse supply with a dedicated external PV system.
Tailored Split Design
The panel was uniquely engineered to separate warehouse and PV supplies, ensuring that the PV side of the system could be fully isolated without affecting power to the warehouses. This innovative split-board concept was created in-house by NKD Group to provide the client with maximum flexibility and operational security.
Advanced Monitoring with Rayleigh Instruments
In partnership with Rayleigh Instruments, we incorporated their latest plug-and-play CTs and metering into the outgoing breakers. This addition provided dedicated monitoring for the warehouse side of the system, giving the client clear visibility of energy usage and performance.
G99 Controls & Enhanced Safety
To meet compliance and safety standards, we equipped the PV main ACB with:
- 230V open/close coils
- Motor mechanism
- Undervoltage coils
These additions ensured sufficient control for the G99 relay, specifically dedicated to the PV side of the panel.
Premium Schneider Components
The distribution board was built using the Schneider MTZ2 16 withdrawable breakers, along with NSX 250A and NSX 100A feeders, each fitted with Micrologic 6.2 protection. This configuration was carefully selected to accommodate the customer’s earth leakage requirements while maintaining reliability and ease of operation.
DNO Integration & Metering
Finally, to support network operator requirements, we supplied 0.2 class CTs for the main incoming ACB. These were connected to an in-house built COP3 metering panel, designed to house two meters for the DNO. This ensured seamless integration and compliance with local grid standards.
